I think the only more impressive scene from a technical standpoint in the last 10 years was the Dunkirk scene in Atonement. Amazing scene.

I thought it was good, but not great. But I do agree that it looks pretty badass in a lot of scenes. And the long running-shots are great.

I admittedly need to watch it again though, because it's been a while since I've seen it.

A really fine movie, IMO. Cuaron knows what he's doing from a technical standpoint, and he co-wrote the screenplay. And, yeah, the long take with the tracking shot is incredible.

I was reading a Clive Owen interview, and those long scenes he said took so much to get right, if you screwed up a little, that was it for that day. Had to try again the next.
