Ellen Pompei or whatever the main chick in greys anatomy is. She was the main chick in old school as well. She looks super plain. Greys also has the oriental chick that hooks up with half the hospital and she is flat ugly

The one thing the wife insists on watching. I usually watch whatever football game is on on my iPad. I've just always remarked about those two to my wife because the whole show is basically premised on them being attractive, and they aren't at all

yeah, she was NOT supposed to be hot, that was the point of her character. She was the juxtaposition of the extremely sexy Joan. Joan basically succeeded on her looks and Peggy struggled and still eventually succeeded despite her looks.

Speaking of the Sex in the City cast, I'd say all the women except Kim Cattrell qualify for this thread. Kerry Bradshaw looked like a horse, red-head was disgusting, clearly lesbian, and skinny brunette is nothing special, basic for TV.

Exactly.
It showed the changing work culture in America. In the beginning, Peggy was a very average worker compared to the lovely Joan who was Queen B because of her huge boobs.
Peggy's skills earned her more respect as the show traveled through the 60s and by the end, Joan was just a washed up whore who was good for securing accounts by sleeping with sleaze balls whereas Peggy was looking at big time positions in large firms.
