Just saw Captain Marvel and it was pretty damn amazing. One of the best solo MCU movies ever.

This thing has only done $277 million domestically and is just about out of gas. WW did well over $400 million and the crapfest TLJ did $620. I don't know what the appeal of this terd is overseas, but it's certainly not killing here at home. DB looks like a damn fool getting excited like a 10 year old girl about this.

Uh, just 277 Million alone would be the 7th biggest domestic box office gross of 2018.

That's a lot of effing money. Production cost was 152 million, so it's a massively profitable movie.

I really don't get the obsession people have with trying to attack it, and I won't even be seeing it in theaters. It's doing well by basically any monetary standard.

Not really, 2018 was an extremely weak year for movies. That's like being the 7th tallest midget.

There were 2 of the top ten grossing films of all time last year. It might not have been a great artistic quality year, but we're talking cash money here.

Who said it was going to tank in China? China is a random country for our blockbusters at times. The MCU is all over the place there.

Black Panther, Infinity War, and The Incredibles were huge hits domestically but nothing else was a huge hit. Aquaman did better than expected but some of that gross was into this year.

That's not accurate. I think it finishes between 400-420 million, domestically.

And Captain Marvel is at $131 million there. So only Avengers 2, 2.5, and 3 are ahead of it.

I don’t see it hitting 400 million. It will get a small boost the week before Endgame, but Dumbo and Shazam will push it out. I’ll say $380-390 million for its final tally on the high end. I don’t see it not making it to $350 million. 370-375 million sounds right.

WW it will eek over a billion but I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t reach 1.1. The people who thought it would do Black Panther numbers were nuts.
