Ryan Reynolds was miscast as well as Hal Jordan, man without fear. He would have made a much better Flash
If the Human Torch can be cast as Captain America then Deadpool/Green Lantern can still be cast as the Flash.

FWIW--Agree 100% with Reynolds as a great Flash.

Anyone who is skeptical of Evans being Caps, give Sunshine a watch. I feel we should get something a little more assertive, but that movie is a good indicator. And he was the best performance in the film, I gained a lot of respect for him.

He was good in Street Kings too.

but they probably would have gotten Will Smith to play him,
that would have sucked

its all about companies though. evans is no longer the human torch and could the torch could never be seen in he avengers due to fox owning the rights, not marvel.

in the case of reynolds being green lantern and the flash, thatd never happen since they are both warner bros. if a JLA movie somehow happened, howd that work? itd just be a dumb move to have one actor playing 2 franchise people, like having bale be superman

Jon Stewart= Foxx

As for Captain America, that of all superheros, is the hardest one to cast. Actor has to be young enough to be a youngish (25) solider, but command the screen over other heroes. Also he has to be blond, blue eyed and 6 feet tall. Pitt 20 years ago, yeah, but too old now.

hmmm, i'd idly wonder about aaron eckhart or thomas jane - just cause both are blond and seem athletic enough

Both are decent actors too

Anyone else a little confused and weirded that the Human Torch will be Captain Star & Stripes? Doesn't seem like a good casting call.

Human Torch as Captain America, thats going to be disaster, Captain America isn't a joke, Torch was a jokester.

This is going to be disaster, why did they decide to do this?, well have fun watching Captain America. I'll wait until the movie comes out, but for now I think its going to be shite.

Also to add, I'd see why Iron Man is going to run this movie, because the person playing Captain America, is not even going to be up to status like Iron Man, if you get my drift.

Actors can play all different types of roles. Some comedians have played great roles in dramas. I wouldn't typecast based solely on that one role.

This.

And people don't realize that Evans was, by far, the best choice that they were looking at it.

As much as most fans wanted someone a little older, they were never going to do it.

I'll just say "Its shite", until the release of the movie and find out my true opinion.

I thought Captain America ran the Avengers and Iron Man just freelanced. Maybe they are going to do the opposite.

I also think Samuel Jackson is a crappy Nick Fury.

Well its supposed to be a crossover, but well the Title itself should prove who the main character is ?, "Captain America: The First Avenger". Even though Captain America was the main avenger, I honestly don't agree with any decision made by any movie producer of the "Avengers move", to play Iron Man as the main character, any comic book fan will agree. Captain America is the main Avenger, It wouldn't make much sense to place him under Iron Man. That actually makes me think about if they did a "Batman movie and placed Robin Over Batman", it would just be weird and unlogical.

Well, from my sources the movie might just be coming out after Iron Man,Thor, are released to the big screen. Then we will likely see the Avenger movie coming out.
