Anyone seen it?

Wife and I saw it over the weekend and we both enjoyed it.

It drags in a few spots simply because it devotes a lot of time to seemingly insignificant moments in order to build the relationship but it's worth it.

Excellent soundtrack/score and some good scenery in the northern Italian countryside

loved it. luca guadagnino has made some excellent movies. I highly recommend a bigger splash if you haven't seen it yet, and I Am Love is also really good.

Terrible film. Lengthy, boring, uninteresting characters. The fricked up parents were the icing on the cake.

Except there's no pedophilia in the movie.

Substitute a teenage girl for the boy and people would be burning the writer and director at the stake.

God you people are daft. What's great about this film is there is no agenda. No politics, no disease, no pitchforks, no conflict. It's a simple love story. That's it. Saying otherwise, especially without seeing the film, is a disservice to your own intelligence.

I live in NYC and I'm married to a feminist. I saw the damn movie.

nah

there are plenty of movies with questionably aged girls and older men.

Leon the Professional had to cut a bunch of stuff from the US release and that's like a 13 year old girl and a 40+ year old dude.

Hell, Back to the Future dealt with a mom making out with her son. That seems a little more fricked up than a 16-17 year old boy and a 24-25 year old dude

I love how everyone that shits on the movie are people who haven't even seen it. It's a really great film. Yea I think maybe it drags a little and honestly it mostly drags in the beginning/middle rather than the end, but it's so well done I didn't mind.

If you think this movie has an agenda other than telling a story I dont know what to tell you

I’ve seen it Chief. All five hours of it. And if you can’t see the difference between the comedy of errors in Back to the Future and parents intentionally setting their teenage son off on a sex weekend with an adult then you’re either being purposefully disingenuous or you think that the folks here are idiots.

Sorry but I just don’t understand how any red-blooded straight American male would have any interest in seeing it.
