I can't for the life of me figure that one out. I'm still trying to piece it together. It could obviously just have been a pensive moment for Walt as he reflected upon his former cook partner, but that doesn't seem like the kind of thing Vince likes he do. He likes to show us something and then later hit us with the reveal that makes us go, "Ohhhhhhhhhh!" It has to be some sort of foreshadowing. Maybe Hank finds the book on a bookshelf and begins to wonder about Walt. Just spit-balling.
And Walt knew about the quote in Gale's notebook because Gale recited the poem to him.

btw, shouldn't Walt have a couple slampieces by now. Forget Skylar, go get some young trim.
He needs to go back to school to see Carmen.

I asked this question earlier in the thread and it got lost. Will try again:
Does anyone think another cartel will try to move in? They have to know that gus and the other cartel are out and will want to try and fill the void. There might not be enough room for it in the show but realistically you would think that would happen.

Yes, or a biker gang. The latter are the real meth kingpins.

I agree that it would likely happen and I also agree that there is not enough time left in the show so it seems very unlikely.
At this point I think events are going to start involving Hank in a big way. We's been camouflaged in the story line but that is about to change. Maybe the Ricin is for him. Maybe even to be delivered by Skyler though that seems a stretch.

Biker gang would be sweet

Saw this on CNN with interview of Anna Gunn
L-O-L...I don't get that vibe at all about her character.

I can't tell you how pissed/stoked I'd be for a Sons of Anarchy / Breaking Bad hybrid episode.

Landry is gonna rob one of those houses soon and blow everything.

I guess we are suppose to think she is a genius because she came up with the money laundering idea

I actually thought about what this would be like. I love SAMCRO, and they are badass, but Mike would kill them all before the opening sequence is over, then go to the diner and have coffee.

I watched something the other day and one of he drug dealers that Walt ran over was in it, and he was getting all shot up in his scene too.
Probably not a bad payday for looking gangsta and taking a few blanks.

She's had some moments. Wasn't it her idea to act like a bimbo with IRS guy? That was a greta move.
Wasn't it her idea also about getting Bogdod with the fake environmental guy so he would have to sell?
I'm sure there are others, but those two jump out right away.

You're probably right but I mean, come on. She's deep in the muck. The way she is acting, to me, is a bit naive and shortsighted. She knew her husband cooked and manufactured meth. He hid the money under the house. They're playing secrets with a DEA BIL.
I'll concede she may be smart but definitely weak minded.

yo! been avoiding this board for a while now.
but last night I finally caught up to where we're at. took me about 5 months to get through every season of Breaking Bad. So glad I decided to pick it up and stick with it. May be the best drama in the history of television when it's all said and done. Look forward to discussing the show from here on out.
as far as the comment from Gunn.. I think Skyler is quite smart. She thinks well on her feet while Walter is better at planning and figuring out complex problems.
