Good god, can we just let it go and enjoy the episode and show for what it was before it ruins yet another thread?

not about to argue with this. you were on point with some of your shite, i was on point with some of mine. leave it at that

They were ignoring the obvious - he was obviously, visibly moved to action by the Schwartzs dismissal of his contribution.

No, that is what we were supposed to think. His actual motivation was the $29 million dollars they donated. He realized that they provided the perfect means of getting the money to Flynn. Walter specifically mentioned the $29 million. he never once mentioned Grey Matter.

Gilligan tricked almost everyone with that scene.

Calmer than you are dude.

I will say this show has the best "trendline" for quality of almost any show I've seen. The Wire was pretty consistently good (I liked Season 2), The Shield had a great pilot/finale combo, but Bb is right up there as a candidate for GOAT finale and GOAT series.

Bravo.

I'm perfectly calm, well not calm but that's because of the episode.

I just don't want this to turn into a "he said, he said" thread when it should be about the rest of your post in that a show that will be in the conversation of GOAT is over and ended in a perfect way

They will have an alternate ending on that DVD set, so it will be interesting to see what that was. I guess Jesse does pull the trigger at that last part

I would rather have like an extra 30 minutes to see the aftermath of it all

Gus as a villain was perfection.

You loved him at times, you hated him at others, you felt at ease with him and terrified of him (box cutter).

I knew, watching, that Walt is an information vacuum and and idea guy - I wasn't sure what bits he was picking up on. But, it was clear he was reacting to whatever it is they were saying, and they weren't talking about the meth - Charlie was.

That's how the ideas were churning: revenge on the Schwartzs? Use the Schwartzs for something (Walt is a great user, as well as problem solver/idea man)? What about the blue meth?

But, he was only paying attention, initially, because they were talking about him. But the wheels never really stop turning with Walt.

Gilligan even beat Chase with his final song choice.

Badfinger over Journey.

Hell yes.

And it must have been tough to kill such a villain that far out from the finale.

But, one of the best villains in television history - up there with Gul Dukat.

After the first three notes of that Badfinger song, I had a huge smile on my face.

The perfect ending to the perfect ending.

+1. Dukat having Kira Norice's mom as his slam piece probably puts him above Gus.

He was really good at cooking meth - the best ever at it.

It's genius that a guy can that one sentence and make a show this good from it.
