No, that knight is on the white space next to the pawn.

Jesse is not fit for the meth business, and I think we all know that. If we didn’t know that before, we know it now. He’s got too finely tuned a sense of morality to be a criminal. It was a mistake for him to be a criminal from the get-go.

Does that make any of Jesse's actions any less bitchy?

quote:

And to be fair to Walt, Walt didn’t start Jesse down the path of cooking crystal meth. Jesse was already doing that regardless. But Walt made his life so much worse. And that’s one of Walt’s unforgivable sins, and one of the deep sadnesses of the show: that Jesse didn’t have a better mentor than Mr. White. He didn’t have this man tell him “you deserve better than this.”

That doesn't make Walt a bitch.

Neither Jesse or Walt are bitchy.

Completely disagree about Jesse. He could have just left but instead decides he just has to take Walt down. Like Jesse has some moral high ground to stand on

I almost feel bad for the people that make this about team Jesse or team Walt and fail to understand the motivation behind each character, even when the show's created spells it out for you.

I actually feel bad for people that think they know everything and that there's no way the person that they're trying to talk down to could possibly know the same information.

Jesse is still a bitch, regardless of his motivations.

he is not a real person. he's a tv character. he's not on a "team". try to enjoy the drama and leave the mickey mouse middle school crap out of it.

I've never once said team Jesse or team Walt, or any of that.

I'm enjoying the drama just fine. It just struck me as funny when VOR said Walt was the bitch and not Jesse, because Jesse's actions are more "bitchy" than anything Walt has done.

no. walt is a bitch. a man who couldn't handle life so took the easy criminal life and cut corners screwing everyone in his path. I call that a bitch, not a man.

Is this what you call getting supposedly terminal cancer and wanting to leave your family a nest egg?

I'm kind of tired of the team stuff too. It's almost as if people are missing the entire point of the show...

And my comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular. Just seems silly to think these characters are either "good" or "bad" and there is no in between

Oh, he started out heroically with arguably honorable intentions. But as the series progressed . . . he broke bad. He evolved into a virtual untrustworthy monster.

Sure, but that doesn't make him a bitch. Deciding you arbitrarily now have a conscience when things get too real and ratting out the guy who made you rich while the two of you were in it together as "50-50 partners" (Jesse made sure to say that all the time) makes you a bitch.

Easy? Not the word I would have chosen, he sacrificed a lot and at no point did he say "no this is too hard". You can say he chose the immoral route or even the risky one but definitely not "easy".

I think of it more as a guy who rolled the dice and came up snake-eyes. It all could have easily worked out, it just wasn't in the cards. But he at least took his circumstances head-on and tried. The easy thing would have been to resign himself to his fate and just let things fold out, his family's fate left up to someone else.

Meh. Not to be picky, but I don't think dying of cancer would be a cake walk either I know what you were getting at though

And lets not forget that it was Jesse that wanted to kill the 2 dealers for shooting the kid. Otherwise Walt and Jesse would have been in a long-term, non-violent business arrangement with Gus.

I just don't see Lydia stepping up in some prominent role. She's been in a handful of episodes, and hasn't really done much. Not the show's style.

I agree. He is certainly immoral and took risks, but nothing about what he is/was doing is easy.
