I think Ted's comment last week about Walt being "Mr. Reliable" struck a nerve w/Skyler.

Marie's comment about Walt facing death definitely hit home.

In Gus' laundry, no doubt. Speaking of "laundry," Walt handled Saul pretty well, didn't he! Five percent.

Walt signed divorce papers for Skyler.

...now that Skyler is having second thoughts. She's free to move in w/Ted and his heated bathroom floors. Why didn't she tell her hot lawyer that her boyfriend is doing illegal things as well?

Walt and Jesse became bitter rivals.

This is looks interesting for next week.

I think Hank will come to Walt next to ask him about Pinkman. I don't think he suspects Walt (yet), but he will ask Walt if he ever knew Pinkman to be involved with crystal meth, that he might be connected to this ghost, this Heisenberg, and that he needs to talk to him.

That could lead to Gus and Walt protecting Jesse for the time being....that, or, putting a bullet in his head. Because if Hank ever got to Jesse he would sing like a canary.

I thought I was a very good episode, Skyler has come to realize that Walt did the cooking for the good of the family. However, she realized it too late and she finally drove Walt away. Seems like she might try to come crawling back as the season progresses.

The show is setting up for Jesse to get taken out of the picture.
If done right, Hank finding a dead Jesse along with his rolling lab and some of his product, would allow Gus & Walt to go back to business as usual.
The combination of Jesse being so damn stupid and his knowing so much about Walt's previous operation puts him in the "must be knocked off" category.

I doubt this simple scenario plays out this easily though as it would not leave the viewers with enough twists by the end of this season.

I bet Jesse disappears by season’s end, leaving us to wonder whether Tuco’s cousins got his head or if he’s just hiding from Walt & Gus.

a combo of or partnerdhip I should say of Walt & Gus=sheer genius. You can tell they have a mutual admiration for each other, Gus basically told him the truth, it's the kids that matter the most, take care of them.

Relationships have done in a lot of good men and turned them bad, including me, I don't excuse Walt, but he realized Gus' words are true, if you can't save the marriage, frick it, move on and take care of your kids. Skyler looked like she was starting to have a change of heart til she saw those signed divorce papers.

and yeah, Walt knows slummy Saul and kid jesse are parasites that are slowing him down and doesn't need them anymore.

Even though Gus told the Cartel they could let Tuco's cousins take Walt down after his current business with him was finished.

Gus' lab looks to be constructed for the long haul, not just for three months.

Unless Gus is planning on just one more huge batch and then he's getting out for good.
He probably has an exit strategy similar this worked out.

Would the Cartel allow Gus to just quit?
If Walt helps the Cartel make millions will they embrace and protect him from the cousins?

I interpreted Gus telling Walt he would work in the lab and be surrounded by good helpers as "cook for me until we learn the Heisenberg formula, then we'll turn you over to the cousins." It's Walt who doesn't see it coming that he is being set up by Gus.

Gus is a man that knows how to do business and persuade people, he knows the Cartel is ruthless, but I do think he has an appreciation for Walt and in time will figure something out to get Walt of the hook with the Cartel.

well, I certainly hope that is not the case, but you never know, he seems to like Wlat or is just a really good mastermind at disguising his true intentions.

The thing that stuck out to me the most last night, is the Gus and Walt intellectually appeal to each other.

Well I'm no PhD, but I think Gus just knew he needed to appeal to Walt's intellect to hook him.

He is the only calm in this storm.

Walt has not had a rational thought this season.

Jesse is clean but still just a punk.

Hank has lost his mind over either El Paso or Heisenberg.

Skyler is sleeping with her boss and spilling her guts to her divorce attorney even though she may not want a divorce.

Saul is just trying to squeeze every penny out of every crook in town.
