So, I'm reading the 1st book in the series and I think it's much much better than the movie which has ZERO to do with the book.

is there or have there been plans to make the book into a series based more on the plot of the book? I'm not a fan of series TBH, but I'd make an exception for this if done right.

Didn't they try this with the tv show treadstone? From what I recall, it had low viewership numbers and was caught up when USA was changing their content

I think making it more in line with the book only works if they keep it in the vietnam era. I just can't see how you make it like the book and move it to the current time.

They caught Carlos the Jackal years ago. He was a pro-Palestine assassin and terrorist so he would have to be the movie's hero for today's modern audience.

Treadstone was a great series that followed the Bourne storyline. Even had a DEI play for a female agent to appease the masses.

One great season and it disappeared like a fart in the wind.

They turned the first book into a miniseries in the late '80s and Richard Chamberlain played Jason Bourne. It wasn't very good, if I remember correctly...
