Halfway finished with this season.

quote:

Luciano encounters an old foe in Chicago, while Nucky and Margaret find common ground in Atlantic City when they face the same dilemma. Meanwhile, Sally conducts business in Cuba as rumors swirl of a public uprising; and in 1884, a young Nucky continues to impress the Commodore, and gives Eli a glimpse of what the future may hold.

Maybe at some point we'll have the age old question answered...

You mean "Nuck". Going to be interesting to see how all the loose ends get tied in the four remaining 52 minute episodes.

The Capone/Luciano scenes are so money. I hate that they're cutting time for that in favor of these shitty flashbacks.

Agreed.

Damn Stephen Graham plays an amazing Al Capone.

If Mickey Doyle survives the season, I'm going to be pissed.

Not so sure about the way Capone is being portrayed. Was he really a sociopathic killer in real life? I mean, I know he murdered people, but when he brutally beat that guy to death with a statue for no particular reason, that was rough to watch. Then he calmly asks to get Nucky on the line in AC to warn him about Lucky.

So Nucky lost his deal with Joe K, a deal that is probably dead now anyway since Bacardi is being run out of Cuba by the army, basically used Nuck's money as getaway money, his chick down there is dead, and now Lucky and Co. are coming after him to take over AC. This is going to be wrapped up in 4 episodes? seriously HBO, I could go for 4 more seasons of this show it's that dang good.

For the first time in forever I liked seeing Margaret. So is this the end of her story? Nuck telling her if she could get over on Arnold she can handle his wife.

Glad "Mueller" made it out alive. What a great scene that was.

That it was.

Loved when he finally makes it out of the room.

"I think I may have soiled myself". He says it so calmly.

So how's the other undercover deal with this knowledge? Sure he can bring Van Alden/Mueller in but he'd blow his deep cover with Al.

I am OK with the flashbacks, but they should have come much earlier in this series. Waiting until the final season to get everyone fully vested in Nucky's character just seems redundant at this point. The flashbacks now just seem like filler so the stars don't have as much screen time and/or the writers can avoid having to tell much of the story (AR's death) about the other characters that were vital in the organized crime world.
