With something as subjective as movie taste, I'm more inclined to let it go.

ETA: I will drink someones milkshake on the Saints board.

I made it 30 minutes into Blade Runner before I turned it off. I don't understand the critical acclaim.

I think my exact words when Blade Runner ended were "damn, that kinda sucked."

I thought the ending was beautiful, even if it was a little cheesy. That line about all the things he's done being lost like "tear drops in the rain" was moving to me. That's a pretty accurate summation of how everyone feels at some point in their life when they're pondering their mortality.

I think the movie is just the human story on a small scale. The replicants don't really understand why they're going through such pains to keep themselves alive, and it drives them into madness.

Sorry C, I didn't love it. I saw it before my snobby days though, maybe that had something to do with it. Plus, I've never been a huge sci-fi guy.

Perfect description of my thoughts.

Dangling, it's ok, brah. Everyone has different opinions on movies.

This, plus being old enough to see it in the theater when it was released probably had an effect on us older guys,

Seriously, The way he gave his computer oral commands and the computer having the ability to blow up that little picture so large and three-dimensional, was not possible at the time.

It was right there with Dick Tracy's wrist watch radio in 40's comics, Star Trek (Capt. Kirk era) communicators on TV in the 60's or a helicopter in one of Di Vinci's books in the 15th century.

We were wowed by some of it!

I love Blade Runner but I respect your opinion. Not quite as awesome as Alien but still great.

Groundbreaking. Also brought philip k dicks work to the attention of hollywood. Had numerous other stories made into movies.

The film's dark style and futuristic designs have served as a benchmark and its influence can be seen in many subsequent science fiction films, anime, video games, and television programs.

Blade Runner is one of the most musically sampled films of the 20th century.
