What that poster said was very much an exaggeration. Feeds are not down nearly 80% of the time. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.
They do cuts feeds more often than they used to. Feeds are cut for singing, talking about production, and when they are talking about a person who didn't sign one of those papers. The feeds cut for hours that he mentioned, are for competitions. Those are the main reasons they are cut, and outside of the comps, they are not cut for long.
They do certainly cut a bit more than they used to years ago for sure. Some of the reasons don't make much sense. Maybe trying to preserve some of the conversations for the shows? I'm not sure. It's nowhere even remotely close to 80% of the time though.
I still really enjoy them. It gives you the real reasons behind things happening, instead of just what CBS wants to show you.

Xavier is a horndog. Last night he could not keep his hands off of any female he sat next to. At one point he sat next to Whitney and started rubbing her leg, and she grabbed his arm to stop him and she continued to hold on to his arm for like 15 minutes looking like WTF is this dude doing.

Wouldn’t be surprised if production ends up telling him to chill out. Like mentioned above with him rubbing on Whitney’s leg last night, it was awkward to watch because she clearly wasn’t into him like that, but grabbed on to his arm to keep him from massaging her thigh (likely her way of trying to be nice in a weird situation). Then he eventually moved on and was rubbing on some other chick.

I have to say, when I saw this cast I wasn’t expecting them to be as likable as they are, aside from Frenchie. They’re not all great but they are way more likable than a few of the recent seasons. I know it’s early though.
