In his act, he showed off his abs-based skills, specifically around making them clap. The judges were puzzled by the talent, but decided to let him through to the next round.

All of the non-live episodes of America's Got Talent are taped months in advance, perhaps indicating that Marvin was not long for his time on the show. However, as a participant in AGT, he would still technically be under contract with NBC. If CBS was unaware of this, that would definitely be a breach of his contract with the eye network, and prompt removal.

The “unemployed” guy is an influencer with 500k TikTok followers .

Not sure the numbers would work. But, that would just lead to CBS making it like 12-4 or worse. Last year was the season of reparations. The outcome was determined from the start.
