Yeah, it's even more of an issue when you realize that in every season with returning houseguests, one of them has made it to the final two (with the exception between BB 11 when Jessie got screwed by the coup d'état). Until that power was gifted to Jeff, Jessie was running that house.
It's clear that being a second-time player is a huge advantage.

That's not even it. If that was the way that the majority of the newbies thought about the Vets then season 13 would have been the end of that problem. The bigger issue is that they specifically cast newbies that are either fans of the Vets coming in or social media whores that have never watched BB before and latch onto the Vets to get farther (i.e. more screentime) and be more well liked.

Last year was the first time I watched Big Brother. Never understood the hype under I actually watched it, then when I did watch it I enjoyed it. People have told me that last season (summer 2017) was probably one of the worst seasons..
I recorded each episode then caught up on the weekend, it was the only way I could continue the season, after watching it live the first few times.
In March, I did watch the celebrity BB. It was okay, but I didn't like how Rudy from the Cosby's asked to leave. I thought that kind of impacted the game for others. Metta wanted to leave early, but of course didn't get voted out until later on. I really think he just didn't want to have to be put in the position to screw other people over. That's just kind of who he is, but I thought the American Pie chick could have won if she wasn't so aggressive at first and too emotional at the end.
