Cody 1)is far better at comps
Cody happens to be a physical specimen. He hasn't done shite in other types of comps.

2)is smart enough to actually see what's going on in the house.
Okay? So? Knowing what's happening and not being able to convince others makes you a shitty player.

Cody could have explained his reasoning after he nominated Paul. Yeah, it was a bit of a blindside after having to nominate 3 other people, but without that safety Cody could have, at the very least, explained why it was so important to remove Paul, and at that time, the rest of the group would have listened.
But once that 3 weeks safety was announced, it became pointless and people stopped looking at Paul as threat because he wasn't a option to nominate.
Cody's real mistake was nominating Xmas after Paul revealed his safety. She at the time was Paul's closest ally though, but still a member of that original 8 alliance. Should of nominated Ramses, Jason, or Kevin instead, since Josh was safe too.
Edit: And people are so brainwashed at this point, nothing Cody can say would get thru to them. Mark finally understands and sort of Elena, but cause they realize now being perpetual pawns shows just how low on the totem pole they actually are.

I think calling Cody a terrible game player is off... over all the seasons there's been some absolutley horrendous players. Like the dude who volunteered to get evicted so he could get the "secret power" that didn't exist or that blue haired girl and Devin from 16. There was also the dude from 15 that drank all the wine and told everyone to "come at me" haha
Is he good? no... but I think there's been some garbage in this game that you just can't compete with. Like jenn city haha

I agree and I at least give Cody some credit this week for trying to make something work. There might have been something a little more he could have done but I don't think it would have changed anything ultimately.

How is Cody a bad game player when he is still there despite being the target since the first week? So far he's my favorite

Paul gets evicted.
Julie, "Surprise houseguests, in another BB twist, we were fooling you by saying no jury battle back. There will actually be a contest after the next two evicted house guests.!"
Paul wins battle back to no one's surprise.

Unless Mark or Elena win HOH are they 100% going on the block?
If Mark wins does he put up Paul and Alex? Alex would go home 4-3

quote:well he got evicted for one. Then the only reason Jess went home over him last week was because she purposefully made herself a bigger target. That's how.

Also, Chenbot said she wants live feeds in the jury house

For sure

Yep, I believe he has already said this

Eh, Cody winning safety had just a little to do with it. Which I guess you can argue they decided to have her throw it but he still had to beat everyone else.

So Cody is either going to share the Jury house with Mark or with Alex unless veto changes things

Yep. Cody's social game was never going to win the season for him, but he'd be looked at in a much different light had Paul not had that safety. Paul would have been voted out most likely, and the rest of the house would be forced to actually play the game.
He hasn't been a great player, but he's been better than a majority of the house this season. But that's a very low bar.

He played it perfectly and if not for an extremely lopsided temptation advantage, Paul is out of the game week 1
He told no one he was doing this, that is what made it dumb. Taking the shot at Paul was absolutely the right strategy, but when he didn't even tell his alliance was why it was stupid. It made him look untrustworthy, and that's what really let Paul set his hooks into the rest of the big alliance. If he tells Mark, Matt, and Jessica what he is doing, even if Paul stays, he isn't isolated in the game. Matt, Mark, and Cody were a day 1 alliance until Cody pulled that crap.

Still could have convinced them he had to keep them in the dark since they were all involved in showmances and couldn't risk one of them slipping up and then Paul finding out since he was part of that alliance.
Loose lips sink ships and BB is all about that in any normal season. Cody knew that.

That could maybe work if this was a few weeks down the road but it is hard to trust someone you have known less than a week when they do something that big without even involving them.
Posted on 8/17/17 at 2:16 pm to smkspy
Sure he could have tried that, but he didn't. Him and Jess going into isolation and never leaving the HOH room compounded on the distrust from the blindside.
Posted on 8/17/17 at 2:20 pm to rockiee
That reasoning could apply for not telling them too.
"I trust you guys, but I couldn't take any risk that if the girls found out they wouldn't blab to Paul. He's the only vet in the house. Came in number two last season and they're all fawning over everything he has to say. I trust you guys, and you should trust me, but you know how easy some game talk can slip when we're sweet talking these girls we just met."
Damage control could have been manageable just nominating Paul. It became a lost clause when he then nominated xmas one minute after that.
Edit: And yeah, them hiding wasn't the best move either, but that's not in play of what we're discussing. That being damage control if Paul did not have the 3 weeks safety.
