i'd say that's a damn fine assessment. also, idk if i am against him but i'm just not much for marvel and super hero movies. i mean, hell, i think i'm one of the very few who wanted to leave the avengers half way through. or anytime captain america was on screen.

Just saw Star Trek today and it was far and away better. IM3 wasn't very good.

That's funny because I thought Cap was one of the better parts of The Avengers, but some people don't like the character or the actor. Evans has surprised me on his portrayal of Cap, and The Winter Solider is my most anticipated Phase 2 movie.

I thouught Captain America was very good, thought Evans played the role perfectly, and thought he made Avengers better through his performance as CA in that movie.

This is how I feel. Star Trek blows IM3 out of the water, very little contest at all.

Still, Man of Steel is going to blow both of these out IMO. *Yes, I know I'm being a total fricking fanboy saying this.*

I have never been a Star Trek fan in the slightest but I really enjoyed the two new ones. This said, I enjoyed Start Trek more than Iron Man 3 though I enjoyed both.

You know there's a problem with IM3 when comic book fanboys are openly saying they preferred Star Trek over Iron Man. The movie screwed up for this to happen.

I'm no comic book fanboy so I don't give a shite how they did the Mandarin. I personally liked the setup for the character but i wish they had Ben Kingsley meandering around at the end and finding the ship and rings setting up a possible other movie and I think it would have made all the comic superfans happy.

I didn't say you were. I'm friends with several and post on a comic book forum occasionally and the basic consensus amongst us is that IM3 was mediocre and the story was not as airtight as it should be. Weak ending to the trilogy.

Very horrible twist for this villain.

Loved both. ST II has the edge though.

However ST will not beat out IM3 at the box office.

Not even close Star Trek. I tend to be more of a comic guy then trekker. I was heavily influenced by the destruction of the Mandarin Character and the Jason Bourne turn by Tony Stark
