Rewatching BCS. Kim has always had that sketchy cross the line mentality in her. Just manifesting more now.
Tied in during the last episode when Kim returns to her office at Davis and Main to retrieve the cap form the bottle of tequila that they scammed the financial planner out of $50 per shots. Her behavior was always there.

In BB Saul thinks Lalo or Nacho sent Walt and Jessie to kill him. Gus tells Hector that he is the last Salamanca alive. Saul doesn't know that Gus had Lalo killed. I forsee a Walt vs. Gus type showdown where Gus gets him in the end. Kim's acceptance of Saul's new name and behavior is a bit odd. She either gets killed or flees from Jimmy. Maybe Saul makes it back to Kim in the end.

I really hope that they end up together again. We will all be let down if doesn’t end that way.

I also assume that tio knows he is dead. That is why gus doesnt have to mention him after he takes out the cartel.

But she’s been drawn to help the underdog. The people she enjoyed scamming were dicks and predators.
Jimmy is now being drawn to help the cartel - a predatory group notorious for subjugating the underdog and using people as disposable pawns for personal/organizational enrichment.
She helped Jimmy because she viewed him as an underdog. Now that Jimmy is helping the cartel, how might Vince expect us to buy that Kim would suddenly support Jimmy’s support of the cartel? The Kim we have been shown should now dump Jimmy or make him choose between her and the cartel. This is why I think J - K = S.

But what if those diamonds are real and are the embodiment of that settlement. Something he bought, easy to carry around..something to always fall back on in case.
