Post all offseason news, theories, memes and whatnot here.

A couple thoughts after re-watching Breaking Bad:

Some people posted in the S5 E10 that they thought Lalo would suspect Juan Bolsa to be the one behind the attack. Others thought he would blame Gus.

After re-watching Breaking Bad, I doubt Lalo will blame Bolsa. If he does, he will not tell anyone. His nephews, Leonel and Marco, take orders from Juan Bolsa in BB. Zero chance the Salamancas will work for Bolsa if they think he tried to kill Lalo.

As for Gus, I think the same is true for him. Obviously there is bad blood between Gus and the Salamancas to start with, so if the Salamancas even suspect Gus is behind Lalo’s attempted murder (and possibly successful murder in the future), there is no way they work with Gus in BB.

IMO, this will go one of two ways. Either Lalo pursues Bolsa or Gus without telling Don Eladio and the rest of the cartel, or he will not worry about Gus and Bolsa for the time being, and suspect Nacho was involved and pursue him to learn more.

No matter what, I doubt anyone in the cartel outside of Lalo will suspect Gus to be responsible.

Nah, it's already out there.

I did see an article about Cranston and Paul are both waiting by the phone hoping they'll be in the show next season.

We also need some serious Gene time next year. Everytime there's a new scene I'm on the edge of my seat even when nothing is really happening.

I'm on season 2 at the moment. I had started watching season 1 when it first started but did not get into it. It is a good series.

Honestly, I’d rather have an entire Gene season for closure on his story and leave what happens between the finale to Breaking Bad up to the imagination of the viewer.

So, you don’t want to know what happens to Kim, Howard, Nacho or Lalo? Why?

I’m expecting the final 2 or 3 episodes or so to be centered around the Gene storyline. The rest is everything leading up to it.

By the way, anyone ever notice how similar Gene is to Gene Hackman in The Conversation?

At times Breaking Bad had me standing and pacing while watching the tv.

The holy shite and most stressful episodes imo:

Crazy Handful of Nothing
4 Days Out
Phoenix
No Más
Sunset
One Minute
Half Measures
Full Measure
Box Cutter
Bug
Salud
Crawl Space
End Times
Face Off
Dead Freight
Buyout
Say My Name
Gliding Over All
Blood Money
Confessions
To'hajiilee
Ozymandias
Granite State
Felina

Howard, don't give a shite either way. Nacho and Lalo just a "oh by the way" at this point. Kim, they are taking FOREVER coming to some kind of hint at a conclusion of what she will do. I was most upset with the finale in regards to Kim's story.

Yeah, kinda.

What was the issue with Kim in S5? She changed more than any character throughout the season and by the end we realize that Jimmy has led her down a bad choice road. I’m more intrigued than ever to see what she does next.

I would add ‘Grilled’ to that list. Specifically, the scene when Walt puts the ricin in the burrito and then Tio rings the bell for the first time.

That’s the episode that really cranked up my anxiety.

No, she didn't.

You let your preconceived notions cloud your judgement. Bad behavior and defending the underdog is something she's been drawn to from the start.

Her loyalty to Jimmy has been her #1 priority from the start.

The reason you don't see it is because you thought Kim was all about doing the right thing.

Maybe she is about doing the right thing, but the right thing isn't always as clear as good and bad. Maybe she got lost along the way.

Walter White just wanted to do the right thing and provide for his family.

Kim just wants to help the little people for no pay, and she has Jimmy's back no matter what he does. What does that add up to?

Sure, Ham.

Compare her reaction to Jimmy’s final comment at the end of season 4 to the one at the end of season 5 and tell me she hasn’t changed as a character.

She was shocked Jimmy was going to practice law under a different name is your argument that she changed? In my opinion that was more of a wtf are you doing type moment. It wasn't a declaration of her morals or ethics.

She said okay cool, if that's what you think is best the very next episode.

If you watch the last episode of season 5 again, I would argue that Kim may be the driving force behind "Saul Goodman". Jimmy seems to be the person that's afraid of where this is heading.

After what he just went through it seems he's ready to take his foot off the gas and Kim is whispering "step on it" in his ear. He was scared of everything, including Kim at the end.
