It was in the mid late 2000s. It was a miniseries.

Supposedly they are making a movie (franchise hopefully) out of Jason Matthews' "Red Sparrow" books. They are awesome. Very entertaining, but with more real tradecraft insight and realistic intelligence community info than the huge majority of the genre (Matthews was a Clandestine Service officer).

LINK that is pretty high praise.

I think Jlaw was in talks to star last I saw. She'd probably do well in the role.

It came on this week and I watched it yet again. Such a great movie.

Ronin is not the greatest but I love that freaking movie for some reason

The car chase scene is the all time greatest in all of cinematic history
