I think everyone likes it just fine (aside from alajones), but Pixar has set a high bar for itself in almost every single movie it has made.

The Incredibles.

I could watch that movie all day.

Up
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Wall-E
Monsters Inc.
Toy Story
Cars
A Bugs Life
Toy Story 2
Ratatouille

both up and wall e would be at the top if i was judging just by pure movie making, but the kid in me put them in the above order.

wall e is especially a captivating movie when you realize there's about 2 pages of spoken dialogue.

Used to be Monsters, Inc or Incredibles. But then Finding Nemo rose to the top for some reason.

Now, I really think Wall-E might be my favorite.

Ratatoullie (sp?) is the worst, but still solid. Pixar has never let me down..all are awesome.

Wall-E is my favorite followed closely by Finding Nemo and the Toy Story flicks.

Yeah the first 10/15 minutes of Up was some of the best storytelling I've ever seen.
Agreed. It's amazing how much they make you care about the two characters in that opening reel. It also completely informs how you judge the old man throughout the rest of the film. Brilliant montage.

Still, I have to go with Finding Nemo. Though, I'm consistently amazed by the quality of Pixar films. they have never made a bad movie and really only made one average one (Cars). Other than that, everything else has been great. I will see anything they put out.

Oh, and to answer the question earlier about why the hate on Cars...most of what I've seen (and my opinion as well) was that it was just too long and kinda drug out a good bit.

Still a great movie though IMO.

I still think Cars is good, it's just not great. Every other Pixar film is legitimately great. If some independent studio had released Cars, I would be praise it. It only suffers in comparison to Pixar's high quality of work. It is by no means a bad movie.

Cars is good, but to me it just seems like a good Dreamworks movie, not a good Pixar one. Cars just didn't do it for or seem as deep as Pixar's other works

I like Cars. If I was being honest and wasn't trying to not rock the Movie Board boat, I'd have it higher on my list. But I know the hate it gets here, so I wussed out.

Ratatouille I just thought had a beyond ridiculous ending. Even for a kids cartoon. Monsters, Inc. has just never gotten that connection with me. It is still a cool movie and Billy Crystal and John Goodman are great together.

The first half of Wall-E is incredible. The second half with the fat people in hover chairs not nearly as good.

Up
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Wall-E
Toy Story
Ratatouille
Monsters Inc.
Cars
Toy Story 2
A Bugs Life

Cars might not get a ton of love on this board, but it is far and away the merchandising king for Disney(at least out of the Pixar films). It is a cash cow, which is why we get Cars 2 in 2011.

You aint lyin'. They have never stopped stocking Cars stuff on toy store shelves.

Too bad there is no Incredibles sequel lined up. That movie was the shiznit.

That is the only Pixar film I want a sequel from. They can take their time, and Brad Bird wants to do one but can't think of anything as good as the original one right now (let's face it, Syndrome is a high bar to pass). That's why I respect Pixar and distain Dreamworks, because if a movie was successful and it got pretty good reviews, they'll make a sequel to it, and usually they don't have a good idea on where to take the franchise and just go with it. They were going to make SIX Shreks for God's sake, but they probably know that the 4th one is going to be so bad that the 5th and 6th can only be worse (and the 3rd one was a disgrace as well). They would have made about 6 Toy Stories by now and 4 Finding Nemos if Dreamworks first came up with those films.

Monsters is just such a unique and interesting story line. That's why I like that one. Plus, all the monsters look awesome in HD.

Nemo is another gorgeous movie as well.

(not that they all aren't though)
