Tropic Thunder was a huge surprise coming from Stiller. He needs to make more movies like that.

My favorite part of Along Came Polly is the French scuba instructor and his accent always puts an L in Reuben.

Leuben, are you for scuba!?

Hey, Luby Tuesday!

I don't think it was very well received by critics, but I really liked the Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

What makes you characterize his role in Tropic Thunder as a "surprise"? Seems like a similar role to his goofier characters ie: White Goodman, Zoolander, Tony Wonder, Starsky, etc.

not sure why people hate on him most of his films stack up well to other top notch comedians.

Along came polly

Heartbreak kid

Something about Mary

I love all of his awkward comedy in the above. Once I bought a box set of his Ben Stiller Show from the early 90s and it's only 2 seasons but it's pretty good as well.

The entire movie as a whole was a surprise not just his character. He didn't worry about being politically correct or keeping it pg13.

I liked his other movies too but Tropic Thunder is on a completely different level.

Heartbreak Kid does not get enough love. That movie is really great. Plus it has Flo from Progressive.

Claude: Zee heeppopotamoose, he is not born saying, "Cool beans. I am a heeppo." No way, Joesay. So he try to paint zee stripe on him to be like zee zebra, but he fool no one. Then he try to put zee spot on zee skin to be like the leopard, but everyboody know he is a heeppo. So, at certain point, he look himself in zee mirror and he just say, "Hey. I am a heeppopotamoose and zere is nothing I can do about it." As soon as he accepts zis, he live life happy. Happy as a heeppo. You understand zis, Luban?

My top 5 Stiller movies:

Honorable Mention - Tropic Thunder, Dodgeball, and Night at the Museum. Not counting bit parts like Anchorman, Happy Gilmore, etc.

I know I am in the minority, but I can't stand the Zoolander movies/character

Tropic Thunder and Dodgeball are the only two Stiller movies that don't make me hate him.
