Has Beauty and the Beast even been mentioned once these last five pages?

Haha, I guess not. I really wasn't trying to start a drawn out conversation when I made my original comment. Folks just have a real issue with the Christian worldview.

ETA: I'm sure they're also used to their statements going unchallenged.

Because it's an ignorant worldview that has no basis for reality. It would be like me saying "don't eat cows because they used to humans in a former life" or "don't eat pigs because they could be humans that Cerci turned into pigs". You would call me out on the foolishness of that belief.

Yoi sit there on your fat arse with this judgements like attitude towards LGBT people and think that your own lifestyle is ok with god. You cherry pick the Bible to fit your own ignorant agenda.

Again, you will be able to point to nothing I have said or done that would lead you to this conclusion.

For the sake of historical accuracy (since that is what we are apparently going for in a thread about Beauty and the Beast), then I feel obliged to inform you that the correct term is "Moops", not "Moors".

IT'S THE MOORS. THERE'S NO MOOPS!

Religion is the single greatest lie ever told. It's crazy to me that so many people worship some cat from the freaking Middle East. Yet, there is some random pale skinned, stringy long haired, blue eyed white dude hanging in church's around the world. I wonder how you goifballs would feel if this guy was hanging in your church?

Whete is the proof that Jesus existed? Where is the proof that the earth is only 6000 years old? Where is the proof that the earth ever flooded?

Outside of the Bible, there is no evidenc to support any of this. The Romans have no mention of Jesus in their writing yet according to the Bible, the Emperor was so afraid of him that he sent armies looking for him. The idea that the earth is only 6000 years old is laughable. We've found dildos older than 6000 years.
The idea that the earth ever flooded wiping out all living things on the planet except the ones in an arc is absurd. I wont even get into the scientific impossibility of that ever happening, but simply point out that during the time this flood supposedly took place, there were civilizations in the Americas, Australia, and Asia that were thriving throughout the entire time. They existed before the time the flood supposedly occurred and continued to thrive long after the flood supposedly occurred. There is written records by these civilizations of these times. We know this for a fact. It is non disputable.

You admitted to being fat earlier. You are living a sinful life there fella and you subject your children to it daily. You better get on the treadmill and get right with Jesus. Otherwise you are going to hell and being a fat arse in Hell is going to be tough because fat burns hotter than other flesh.

There is lots of evidence of people acting like the Messiah back in Jesus' time, so the fact that one of them would emerge seems likely to me. Whether Jesus existed or not is really something atheist scholars aren't all that hung up about, more how much of it is actually true.

The Emperor did no such thing. You're thinking of Herod, not Augustus who is all the way back in Rome.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. That's a logical fallacy. Is logic suddenly not important to atheists?

quote:

Where is the proof that the earth is only 6000 years old?

Where does the Bible say that? Straw man

quote:

Where is the proof that the earth ever flooded?

I think most Christians would argue that it wasn't a worldwide flood. The Hebrew doesn't necessitate such a reading.

quote:

The Romans have no mention of Jesus in their writing

Tacitus certainly did. As did Pliny the Younger, albeit in a much less direct manner (he seemed more interested in the early Christians).

quote:

the Emperor was so afraid of him that he sent armies looking for him

Are you just making up stuff now?

As pointed out earlier, you seem really angry and bitter. You've resorted to making up "facts" and building straw men to attack. Like I said earlier, it's commonly accepted now, even by atheist historians, that the historical person of Jesus existed. You can debate on what He was ( simple preacher, revolutionary, prophet, Son of God, etc) but I think the "Jesus never existed" ship has sailed.

I never said I was fat. I'm not in perfect shape (who is?), but I absolutely strive for a healthy lifestyle. It's really amazing that you are taking my username as literal truth. Did you know my avatar is an actual picture of me, too? And my signature image is a picture of my house!

Thanks for showing everyone you have no understanding of the Christian faith.

Yep. Certain folks clearly have a problem with a Christian lifestyle, and would prefer it not be mentioned in conversation. I mentioned it, so I guess I technically did start the discussion. I'm certain I'm not the reason it's gone on for as many pages as it has, but I won't apologize for defending myself and I won't stop doing that.

There you go cherry picking again. Bet I know far more about the history of it than you do. Anytime you really want to get into a serious conversation about it, let me know. Just know that a serious conversation about it means you can't answer anything with "because god works in mysterious ways".

I agree! Emma Watson was gorgeous Hermione, but she is definitely not that Disney princess we imagine thinking about Beauty and the Beast.

Well that much is clear. That's why you've ignored basically everything AUveritas has posted that refutes your unfounded claims.
