That's one of the main reasons.
It's just got too much going on. Trying to introduce too many characters, too many plot points and just trying to rush and reproduce Marvel's success with one movie.
I was much more interested in a Man of Steel trilogy molded like TDK trilogy with different directors than Snyder. How that dude has a job is beyond me. But then again, Michael Bay still directs movies so I shouldn't be too surprised.
