Christian Toto says it's super woke and more feminism horseshite.

Some spoilers

quote:

“Barbie,” inspired by the Mattel toy dating back to 1959, loathes men to a degree that would make a Women’s Studies major blush. It hates the Barbie toy itself, dubbing it “fascist” and worse throughout the film.

“Barbie” also hates women with sweet memories of the doll. Just know you supported the “Patriarchy” all those years ago. And maybe even now.

I saw it tonight and really had fun. Maybe because nostalgia and horses, but I liked it. And it gave me a chance to wear sparkly pink eyeshadow.

Transformers 1-7, GI Joe 1-3, Battleship, and Ninja Turtles 2 reboot were all PG-13 too.

Why make a Barbie movie for adults rather than for kids?

There are 43 animated Barbie movies for kids: LINK

Barbie has been around since what, the 50s or 60s? Had a big resurgence in the 90s. Most adult American women grew up with Barbie, it's been a cultural icon for all or most of our lives, why not have 1 movie for adults?
