Just released on Netflix, starring Gina Rodriguez, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Barry Pepper, and Gil Bellows looking so old. A well-produced low-budget thriller.
It reminds me of so many movies being produced these days that starts with a far-fetched apocalyptic premise and follows the exploits of one family as they try to survive the ensuing chaos. I really like the premise here because it sets up an urgent timeline to solve the mysterious problem.
Trailer
The reviews are poor and I understand. It feels like the script was written very quickly—some of the dialog is pretty bad. But I tend to not be too bothered by plot problems. The question is, is it entertaining? I say yes. And it clocks in at a compact 90 minutes so there's not a lot of filler.

The scene with the pine cone was my personal LOL movie moment of the year. Other than that it was meh.

OK I linked to the trailer instead of explaining the premise.

All you had to do and still need to do was add the word spoilers to the title, something you and your retarded down voters lack the integence to understand.

This. I laughed out loud at the pine cone thing. Once the credits started rolling I was like "meh". Just glad netflix didn't do like they do with a lot of their movies and make them over 2 damn hours. This was an easy hour and a half.

Make it into a series instead that ends up getting canceled after the first season.
