Geisel helped oversee the literary estate of her late husband, whose real name was Theodor Geisel and who died in 1991. Two years later, she founded Dr. Seuss Enterprises. Along with numerous publishing projects, she served as executive producer for some film adaptations of his work, most recently "The Grinch," which came out last month.

I always thought she looked like a Dr. Seuss character.

With her gone and them having no kids AFAIK, I wonder what this means for the rights to his properties.

Thanks to Mike Myers, we haven’t had another live action Seuss film while she was alive.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P.

I think they're a part of Random House.

What I meant was “Now we don’t have a pissed off widow in the way of the rights.”

And IMHO the Lorax animated movie did quite a lot to kiss her arse by creating a granola girl heroine named after her.
