Probably so. Still, I am waiting for THE teamup...

Which would lead to this:

I'm wondering when they're going to wrap up the Brother Blood arch...or if they're even going to attempt to go the Blood/Faust/Trigon/Raven route.

i dont know exactly how supernatural or spiritual they plan to get with the show. if its the raven/trigon route im sure itll be substantially changed to make it more "real world" friendly.

They seem to be keeping a pretty fair distance from actual powers other than some physical attributes (ie: no flying, heat vision, etc). The closest we have seen to anything like that is the Flash origin and even in that they didn't show him moving fast, just getting shocked.

I would be very surprised if they went as far as Raven/Trigon.

I was thinking maybe Nightwing. I know there was a rumor back before the start of this season that they were going to cast the character, but I haven't heard anything about it in a while. It would be kind of cool if they tied Nightwing to Slade's past, maybe since the time he got off of the island until now.

having Nightwing without Batman seems weird to me

Nightwing has been on his own off and on for a while in the comics. Heck, he moved off on his own to Bludhaven (a town we've already seen quite a bit already on Arrow). Who knows, he could even throw out some vailed reference to "his mentor" in some cool, easter egg type of way. I think it could work nicely if done right. Especially with Nightwing's history with Slade in the comics.

Nightwing without Batman does indeed seem... odd. Without Batman there's no Robin and without Robin there's no Nightwing.

My guess (and hope) is that they would eventually use Nightwing as a vehicle to introduce Batman.

eh i agree with bamatab. you can absolutely have nightwing without batman. he is essentially his own hero now. he has his own identity and own city. theyve changed the histories of several character in this show and they still work.

i could see them just vaguely hinting at nightwing has a "mentor in the shadows" type of deal. i think it could tie more into the league of shadows rather than slade though.

I like all of this. Nightwing is way overdue for a live action tv appearance. Great character and could be even better with tweaks to separate him from Batman mythos.

Good find. I think that guy would be a good fit for Nightwing. He looks the part anyways. He seems like he is taking the possibility of getting the role seriously with the emblem on the shirt and all.

I love arrow but have no clue about all this shite y'all talk about. All the stuff goes way way over my head. I read it here thinking i will start catching stuff and it doesn't work haha

But that's a good thing that you don't need to be a comic fan to like the show.

That is definitely a testiment to how good the show is. The plotlines and stories are so well told that you don't really need to know the backstories from the comics. It's just fun for us comic fans when they pop up.

If you ever do want to know more about one of the characters, or a name , or something that you think might be a hint to the comics you can google the name + DC and there are usually two or three different wiki-like sources that goes indepth with the comic stuff for the characters.

And if you really don't know who Nightwing is, he is Dick Grayson, who of course was the original Robin.

exactly! in my group of friends that watch the show, im the only one who ever read comics. they still absolutely love the show just for the story its telling. theyll ask me stuff like whos this person in the comics and ask for my speculations. but its all in good fun. i think it works on different levels because it uses comics as their inspiration, not their bible.

Which made for some... interesting scenes (like Bruce being in the shower and saying "Dick?")
