If it wasn't for this thread I would no idea that there was anything special about this new kid (who will became the Flash) other than him getting Felicity to wear more cleavage showing dresses.

Yeah I wouldnt have known either. Would have never guessed. Thought the flashed would have maybe killed his mom or something

The shots of lightning and the chemical shelf may just be tips of the hat towards Barry's comic book origin. The particle accelerator seems to be the route they're going with on his new origin.
As for the different serums, they said that Slade was given the miracle drug without the antidote, so they do not know what effect it will have on him.
Ollie had multiple syringes in his leg, so we don't know if he's been injected with the serum, or the serum and the antidote, or what.
Word is that they're casting for an Iris West for the Flash series, so Felicity may just be Barry's out of town squeeze.

Really suck for me. The wife and i have spent the last two weeks watching season 1 and catching up on season 2, only to run into this delay in the episodes.
