I think the heroes they got coming in will make the show better as I really trust these writers right now. Plus someone mentioned all the villains that are stacking up to be against Oliver, he's gonna need some help from more then just Diggle.

I guess they could but sometimes they just use familiar names. If Atom were to be introduced, I doubt he'd be in his 50's as Jean appeared to be.

They namedropped "Ray and Jean" in an earlier episode, but it seemed like Laurel was referring to her and Ollie's friends that were their age.

I'm still wondering if Summer Glau's character isn't the real Isabel Rochev...but a far darker character to counter Brother Blood...someone of demonic origin.

Figured I'd bump this thread for tonight's episode (The Scientist), especially since they are introducing Barry Allen.

Pumped. I think everyone knows that they will introduce the Flash tonight. Hell, the previews laid it out pretty well.

I'm wondering if he will even get his powers in these two episodes. I'm going to guess that he won't. Now that they are going to do a normal pilot, and not a backdoor pilot, I would think they will wait until then to have him gain his powers. Then again, I could be mistaken on that.

The original plan was that he gets the powers either tonight or next week and then he'd show up again in like ep. 20 in costume.
Now they've scrapped the ep. 20 plans and we'll just see his origin story in these next two episodes. So we should see some powers.

I remember that. I'm ok with it moreso because I think Malcolm being alive means that Tommy is still alive somewhere and being trained up.

Yeah, I didn't much like it either. But that is one of the few things they have done so far that I didn't like. Most everything else has been pretty darn good, so I'll let it pass this time.
And who knows, maybe it turns out to be a good thing (and maybe they introduce the Lazarus Pits through it).

I think that was until they decided to do a Flash spinoff series. Now I don't think they'll go overboard with superpowers, but I think a lot of things are now on the table

I just caught up on this show a couple days ago. I flew threw them and really really like the show. I didn't know about the flash BC I didn't see the previews

No. It's the guy who woke up after being injected with Miracle in the episode two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure Slade was put down by Oliver on the island after surviving the Miracle serum and becoming Deathstroke.
