Well well well, I thought we would make it a whole episode without Laurels stupid crying face. But, I was wrong. Just when I thought the episode was over they threw in the scene with Laurel and Sarah both balling crying. Fricking dumb. Laurel you suck. Also, Sarah got noticeably fatter. I still think they should kill off Laurel and keep Sarah. Leave it up to CW to have Lance and Felicity's mom meet at a bar and foreshadow them banging it out adding more drama to the show.

I think the grave is Felicity's mom.

They're not rushing anything. They're keeping the pace going so that they don't fall into the quagmire that was Season 1. I really don't want to go an entire season with Ray's messages being deciphered and Sara slowly coming to life. It was the first season that was putting everyone to sleep.

The Pilot is actually my favorite episode. The acting is a little wonky early, but they settle in quick after the first 10 minutes or so.

I hate they didn't keep the maid. She had potential to be a great character to help Oliver as another "conscience", similar to Diggle.

Doesn't seem like anyone remembers this anymore. Arrow's "best season" according to most of its fans, season 2, started off very slowly and methodically. It really didn't start picking up steam till the back half. They built that season into a crescendo, didn't just start running around while banging the cymbals together trying to call it a symphony. Which is what they have been doing so far for most of this season.

They are cramming too much too fast. On top of that the writing is suffering severely because of all of their obligations. They miss details, and things don't make sense, because they are rushing and are spread to thin.

The weekly story is hurting for the sake of overall narrative between all of the properties. They seem to forget that they need us on a weekly basis for the show to go on.

I've even noticed things starting to slip on Flash as well.

They are currently running.

Arrow
Flash
Supergirl
Legends of Tomorrow
A web cartoon
They are even writing comics
Plus they are developing other potential properties for the future as well.

They are stretched too thin. Yes, they have a team of writers. Probably a team for each show for dialogue purposes, and such. But this is mainly 2 guys running all of these properties. Trying to weave one big narrative....

Go watch the documentary Showrunners to get and idea of why they ate failing. Most runners can't do 2 shows, they are over doing it.

There's been some negativity on here lately but surely this season is better than season 3 no?

I haven't been able to really watch but it seems it's similar to season 2 in some ways(which is a good thing). We're what a 1/3rd of the way through?

I don't think people should jump off just yet.

Enjoyed tonight's episode. Curious where they will go with Diggle and his bro. Darkh looked pissed. Glad Atom was back in costume tonight

Crossover eps should be good.

It's been a lot better than season 3 so far. It's moving at a quicker pace than previous seasons and its getting the big bad involved immediately instead of waiting until the mid season finale to really kick the story in gear.

I think what most people are complaining about is how quickly they brought back Sara and Ray just to ship them off in the span of a few episodes, which is a reasonable point but theres not a lot they could do with Legends of Tomorrow arriving at mid season.

Did they film the action sequences different in this episode? They felt a lot more fluid and just all around better done.

The stunt coordinator for the show was the director for last nights episode, apparently it was his first time too, hopefully they get him to direct some more.

I was actually going to make a thread about how far production values and fight choreography have fallen. I watched last nights episode and was wondering about the ability of the Arrow team to hold together their production values with all of the new shows. Everything, even costuming and especially fight choreography, seemed slower and not as good as usual.
