Holdover from Planet Hulk storyline. Hulk was weakened there initially.

Thor arrived with being thoroughly beaten by he'll, losing his hammer, and lost in the bifrost for a few weeks. Then got captured shocked beaten put through some sorta psychic inducer by the Grandmaster. It took him an act to get his godhood back and the rest of the movie to control it.

He's fresh from these lessons and gets his axe in IW.

Not sure why Ragnarok is held in such high regard

It's MCU, you know they're all incredible films according to this board.

Definitely better than anything the DCEU has put out....that's for sure. Doesn't look like it's going to get better with aquaman. Shazam has a chance though.

Terrible Thor movie. Since when does the God of Thunder scream like a 12 year old girl in a haunted house before he meets Goldblum? The CGI was cartoony, at best. In Ragnarok, Thor is a sniveling little girl.

We did this in the official thread, again, apparently you don't know goofy classic Thor. Raganarok used a good dose of that, and is very "Thor-like."

TRAILER

Solid trailer, pretty colorful and shows a lot of flexibility for the DCEU. I hope it's super fun.

Apparently it's screening tonight in NY and LA. Some of the fanboy sites are saying it's for fans and they'll be able to tweet reactions.

I like that they gave him the iconic suit from the comic. I'm curious how big of a part Black Manta will have. It appears that the main antagonist is Ocean Master (King Orm).

A lot of the recent stuff kids will know has Ocean Master be a patsy for Black Manta.

I'm hoping for power behind or acting like a henchman but really in charge.

Very few tweets about it. Not sure if they really saw it or not. They range from fantastic to MCU mid-level to okay. One Redditor puts it in the tone of Ant-Man and Ragnorak.
quote:

“I cannot confirm or deny that I've seen this movie but if I had I would probably say that it's certainly going to be their most well-received movie yet. It's tone closely parallels Ant-man & The Wasp and Thor: Ragnarok and this movie will be liked by the biggest audience, although it will probably suffer from some criticism that it deviates heavily from the original tone of the DCEU to more closely resemble The MCU. But again I reiterate, this would only be my opinion if I had somehow already seen the movie in an advanced screening, which I am not saying I have done.”

I can dig it.

Aquaman is inherently silly and awesome at the same time.

Embrace it and you should come out with something Thorish.

This might be the first DC movie I actually go watch in the theater.

Then again I've been a huge Jason Momoa fan since Stargate: Atlantis.
