This is my new favorite series. I love the costumes. You get two time periods too with the flashbacks.

i loved the book but haven't done the series. The book was ultra violent, not sure I could convince the wife to watch it.

When does this come on? Haven't even paid any attention to it, but I do like most AMC series.

There's a lot of alluded violence in the show, like people disappearing, but so far I haven't seen any unusual violence. Lots and lots of talking in dimly lit rooms, since that's what AMC does.

The scene where he imagines scalping the oil dude was pretty graphic, the last episode didn't show much, but it was brutal.

It's pretty good but I hate Brosnan's choice for the voice.

I stopped after e2. Felt like a soap opera to me. I may give it another try if I'm in a pinch for something to watch.

I like the storyline. The acting isn't phenominal but it doesn't hurt the storyline IMO. I like how they are intertwining the flashbacks in.

Just barely hanging on. Here are 2 reasons why I'm within a RCH of dropping out. Whenever #3 happens, I'm gone.
1. Lets say he was 15 years old while captive with the Indians (1850). How old would that make him in 1915? Do the math; 80 years old! I don't think so.
2. Rattlesnake venom does not work if it is swallowed. It has to be in the bloodstream.
Does Hollywood really believe that we are this stupid?

Yeah. I thought the same thing. I am assuming this was in the book though.

Well didn't the guy have injuries to his mouth that the venom could get into?
