The biggest problem the MCU has is their properties are becoming too spaced out and detached. There are 12 movies in phase 1 and two combined. In phase 4 there is already 6 movies and 6 tv shows and we are only at about the halfway point. The stories aren’t connecting the way they once were that made things exciting.

i was fairly invested in all of the first three phases and enjoyed it the whole time.
i've only seen spiderman and thor in theaters since then and bailed on loki, F&tWS and didn't even try what if, eternals, black widow, or Miss Marvel. We half heartedly watch DS:MOM the other night after it's been on D+ for a month.
Shang-Chi, Wandavision, and Hawkeye are the only ones i enjoyed.
there is such a thing as wearing out your welcome. i'm not raging or yelling at disney for culture warring things, i can choose not to watch what i don't want to watch, i'm just not overly invested in anything they're putting out.
i really just saw Thor because i like Hemsworth. it was worthwhile and i liked it, but i probably won't go see another one in theaters till GotGv3.

I agree. I love the marvel movies but I’m not a comic book guy. Taking these movies deep into the comic universes are ruining the interest for me.

My thoughts exactly!

I think it is okay in where we see it now, but i just hope they don't keep forcing every movie down the rabbit hole.
This. Thankfully the new Thor didn’t use the multiverse.

Love the multi verse concept

Certainly this is part of the decline. However, overall quality has dropped quite a bit. They built this massive MCU factory, but they lost focus on telling good, compelling stories. Quality has obviously dropped across the board, despite huge budgets.
Of course, maybe they never told good compelling stories and the newness/novelty has worn off.

We loved the new Spider-Man and we saw that weeks after it released. There just seems like a ton of shite going on with no real connection.
but the days of having to go opening night or weekend are kind of behind me now.
The Infinity War Saga was freaking awesome and maybe I’m just hoping for something like that again.

And I'm not giving Donner's Superman a pass on this either.

In MOM they also talked about the damage that comes from someone being in the wrong universe too long. Same with timelines. A person from one universe or timeline is extremely dangerous to the fabric of space/time when they’re in the wrong place.
Unless it's America Chavez, and then it's all good and she can just stick around forever.
