Friday Night Lights was the absolute best filler to get me by till the start of football season. Enjoyed it.

I would recommend The League for now. I may check out Breaking Bad myself since it's on there and the biggest hyped thing right now.

You may want to be prepared to lose sleep hours over this show. As soon as I finnished watching one episode, I would have to start the next one.

Breaking Bad was awesome. Can't wait until the next season comes on Netflix.

My favorite show of all time, so when I recommend the following shows, figure that we're on the same page:

1) Arrested Development: I can't say it's my favorite show of all time because something like this vs. Breaking Bad/The Wire isn't a fair fight, but it's my favorite comedy ever.

2) Cheers: my 2nd favorite comedy ever, ahead of Seinfeld and the Simpsons because of longevity. You've probably seen quite a bit of it, though. There's so many of them, you can spread it out over a very long period.

3) Battlestar Galactica: have to be honest, I didn't care for the last season at all. But the first two seasons (including the miniseries) were superb.

4) Wonder Years: See: Cheers.

5) Mad Men: another AMC, so a good bet for you. Love this one and it's starting up again soon, so this may be the best longterm bet.

6) Archer: 2nd funniest show I've ever seen behind AD (funnier than Cheers, but Cheers would occasionally get effectively dramatic). Mostly lacks the dramatic element of other comedies aside from one episode ("Terms of Enrampagement", which may be the best episode of anything ever).

7) Firefly: a better version of Star Trek
8) Louis

Will stop there. It really depends on what kind of show you're looking for. In relation to Breaking Bad, I'd say your best bet is Mad Men, simply because it's still ongoing (and starting up again soon), so you may as well catch up on it since the other "dramas" I listed are done with.

***ETA MAJOR PS: The first two episodes of Arrested Development are by far the worst. Just watch 4 episodes and realize it's just going to get better.

Firefly has space cowboy/pirates vs. space zombies. That's right, space cowboy/pirates vs. space zombies.
