quote:People didn’t use to lock their doors. Up until the late 60’s, we didn’t always lock our doors during the day, left our cars unlocked, would leave the doors to our house unlocked at night until everyone was home.
How do the bank examiner, sheriff or whatever he was, and newspaper people get in their house? Mary's gone and is surprised by their presence when she get back. Their children are upstairs. How'd they get in?

Here’s something I just now noticed last night. The $242 a-hole guy was the first to come in and make a donation at the end.
So he panicked in the moment and reevaluated his life and the kind of person he was. Good catch!

One of the greatest women in history.

quote:I could be wrong here, but I swear it looks like him in the crowd at the Bailey's house at the end. If so, seems strange.
The real victim in the movie is Mr. Welsh. He was probably justified in punching George for telling off his wife but will be the town villain for being the guy that beat up the drunk, depressed town hero. Plus, he will never be able to grab a martini after work for the rest of his life.

She balances “I love you and respect you and will let you know” without “I’m obsessed with you and will let you mistreat me”
And she’s a 10.
If Mary Bailey ever told me “I want my baby to look like you” I might just ascend into heaven on the spot.
Best women ever depicted.
