Just got Hulu free for 3 months. Nice little deal for buying a Roku.
Good grief.
Ya'll weren't kidding about the Anime selection. Makes even Crunchyroll look bad in most respects. There are dozens of shows I've heard about and wanted to watch, but haven't been able to.
Only one problem. I get the free 3 months less than 2 weeks after discovering the Android Kodi App and buying a Roku Stick to use the screen mirror feature....dagnabbit.
Between Hulu and SlingTV, the chord may be getting cut permanently.

What are some of the shows you want to watch?
Also it's unacceptable that hulu doesn't have all of Dragon ball dubbed

Overlord
One Punch Man
Tower of Druaga
Black Lagoon
Baccano!
Tokyo Ghoul
Noragami Aragoto season 2
Chivalry of a Failed Knight
Cowboy Bepop (seen some, never the whole thing)
God Eater
Claymore
No Game No Life
Charlotte
The Heroic Legend of Arslan
Lord Marksman and Vanadis
Attack on Titan: Junior High
The varying Tenchi Muyo shows
Steins Gate
Black Butler: Book of Circus
Garo
Utawarerumono: The False Faces
Beautiful Bones
A Certain Scientific Railgun
Gunslinger Stratos
Jyu-Oh-Sei: Planet of the Beast King
Darker than Black
El Cazador
Now and Then:Here and There
Ragnarok
Phantom
The Sacred Blacksmith
Chrome Shelled Regios
Heroic Age
Trigun
Canaan
Ghost Slayers: Ayashi
Angel Beats
Coppelion
There are several more. These are just the ones I remembered, and was reminded of, after scrolling through once. I'm not going to list them all.

Can you watch hulu shows through kodi without having to subscribe?
Also, are the anime on hulu subbed or dubbed?

I recently watched The Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix. I thought it was pretty good. The action sequences were a little Yu Gi Oh or whatever like or kind of rpg like which was somewhat lame, but it had good humor. I also thought the fantasy world was pretty cool.
Any board thoughts?

You can watch any show you want with the right add-ons. For Anime I use KissAnime. Which pulls directly from the kissanime website. Has everything up to date. Even updates DragonBall Super within an hour of it airing in Japan.
As far as subs/dubs. It depends on the show. Some shows are too new to have dubs, it usually takes an extra year from original airing, for a show to get English dubs.

Hunter X Hunter is a must watch.
Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon, is also a must watch. Fantastic show.
Utawarerumono: The False Faces
GATE is a must watch
Btooom
Yona of the Dawn
Log Horizon
Sword Art Online
Brave 10 is Ok
World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman-a tad fan servicy in spots (gratuitous boobs/butts....etc)
If you like gory, you may like Terraformers
If you have Netflix, you can watch the first 100 episodes of Hunter X Hunter commercial free on there.
If you do, you also have to watch The Devil is a Part-Timer.

Scruffy recommended it to me, and I'm glad I watched it. One of my favorite anime shows out there.

I'm a sub person anyway most of the time with just a couple exceptions.

Same here. Most English dubs just can't match the Japanese VAs.
My Few Exceptions:
Dragonball Z/Super
Attack on Titan
Sword Art Online
Baccano!

Just finished Chivalry of a Failed Knight.
A little tropey, a little haremy, a bit fan servicy, and a lotta fun.
If Sword Art Online and Chivalry of a Failed Knight could meet in the middle on the harem and fan service aspects, it would be a perfect show on that side of things.

frick Tokyo Ghoul, frick it right in the pussy.
That being said, great show. Hate I didn't see it sooner, while I also kind of hate that I even saw it at all.
Just be prepared to need the eye bleach of a lighter show at some point.
8.5/10
I'm blowing through some shows right now. I've been through both seasons of Tokyo Ghoul, Chivalry of a Failed Knight, rewatched Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon, and I will finish .Hack//Sign tonight too. I'll probably be through 3 or 4 more by next weekend. In other words, I'll probably have a few more posts in a row.
After all, I have to watch what I can before the spring semester starts.

Hey Scruffy, I'm in the middle of Rage of Bahamut: Genesis. Had a quick question, is it 12 episodes or 13? It just jumped from Episode 6 to 8 on Hulu. No number 7 to be found. Tried google, but oddly it wasnt much help.
Side note:
.hack//sign 6.5/10. Fun premise, and I love the character development for the most part. But animation was tedious, and for a character based show, they accelerated some things with character's motivations that weren't explained well. Especially since they had a full 25 episodes with which to do it.

Just finished it up, really enjoyed it for the most part.
One question, how did you feel about the ending?

Bump for the Seven Deadly Sins thread.
Does anyone else enjoy some of the abridged fan shows on youtube? Team four star has gotten fairly well known, but there are 2 others I really enjoy. One in particular that is based on SAO.
SAO Abridged. This series is absolutely hilarious, and honestly, it's reached the point now that I consider the story and writing better than the real series. It is incredibly funny, and really well done. The last 3 episodes are particularly good, imo. Highly advise watching it. Might even deserve it's own thread it's so good.
How To Be An Adventurer. Based on Is It Wrong to try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon. There are only 2 episodes so far, and because of the format, they will probably only have 4 episodes in total because of the shortness of Is It Wrong. Really funny, but a different type of format than SAO abridged. Whereas SAO is more of a satire/rewrite of SAO, this is basically a pure caricature of Is It Wrong.
Finished a few more shows.
The Sacred Blacksmith: 6/10 Solid Show, but in some ways it's just kind of there. Average story, average animation, but enjoyable.
I couldn't become a hero, so I reluctantly decided to get a job: 6/10 Funny, very funny. However, felt like they took to long to get to any kind of action, and then the action was over in a flash. Also, too much echii. Generally I like echii, what man doesnt after all, but at times this show almost felt like they had written it specifically to be able to show boobs. As if boobs were the main protagonist.
Currently in the middle of, The Ambition of Oda Nobuna, and Lord Marksman and Vanadis. I advise both to anyone who likes fantasy animes, good shows. I would say Oda is a smidge better, can't quite put my finger on why.
Can anyone tell me if Gunslinger Girl is worth watching? Netflix has it in around half of my recommended show lists.
PSA: Gate Season 2 is on Crunchyroll. I want to say episode 4 will simulcast on there tomorrow.

Watch Un-Go if you like a little mystery and good writing, although things do get somewhat predictable at the end.

I may give it a shot then, the premise isn't something I normally watch though.
Then again, neither was Tokyo Ghoul, and I enjoyed it....I think. Still not sure how I feel about that show, parts of it are so freaking good, while other parts make me hate it. In some ways its kind of like Akame Ga Kill, but more suspenseful. Does a better job of keeping you guessing. Makes watching it very tense at times.

Is this on Hulu? I haven't noticed the name on there.
Also, Just finished Lord Marksman and Vanadis. I really enjoyed it early on, middle is ok, and then it just kind of fizzles. I really, really like the characters, and the premise, but it comes up lacking. I think the lack of funding hurt the animation too much, they went to narration for most of the battle scenes. Where I think this hurt the show the most was in writing and story. Seemed like they tried to avoid battle scenes as much as possible so they didn't have to try and animate them. Leading to a watered down and slow plot.
Really was a waste of potentially great characters.
