Animal Control (TV show) on Fox. Any fans?

Somehow this show was completely off my radar. I never even knew it existed until I stumbled across it on Netflix a few weeks ago. I figured I’d give it a shot since I like Joel McHale well enough.

Well I actually ended up really liking it for whatever reason. I mowed through all four seasons on NF in about two weeks. What’s weird is I didn’t even know it was a Fox show; I thought it was a NF show. But apparently it’s Fox, and the new season (5) starts back up next Sunday.

Any fans of this one? I searched and found one or two threads about it from here but neither one had any traction and thoughts about the show were mixed.

It’s not a particularly awesome show or anything, but I find myself laughing and giggling throughout. It just hits me right I guess. JM is the main character for the most part, and the character is basically Jeff Winger (from Community) as an animal control officer. And it’s about an AC office in the northeast (Seattle I think). There are some good characters (and some bad ones too), and a lot of times the animals on the show are very badly CGI’d. But thats also sort of part of its charm for me I think. But all in all it’s pretty solid and I will be watching next week when it starts up the new season.

Side note: I did initially start it assuming it was a complete show. So I was a little disappointed to now have to go from watching several episodes a night to waiting a week between new ones. But ultimately I was pumped that new episodes are coming.
