In Andy Kaufman's final act, he will be inducted into a Hall of Fame OF A WRESTLING PROMOTION HE NEVER WORKED FOR
They're also inducting the Great Muta and he's never worked for WWE, either. But it's something they've done for years so oh well.

frick sakes
I've said it twice already but..
Muta worked WCW, WWE owns the WCW library.. and Ric Flair wanted to induct him in and his final match was a huge success at the Tokyo Dome so it makes perfect sense
Kaufman only worked in Memphis, WWE does not own the rights to the Memphis library.. Jerry Lawler thinks he owns part of it but he's not sure which is why WWE has never tried to buy it
Is that clear enough?

McMahon Sr was in charge during that time and turned down Kaufman and Lawler when they pitched. Junior has said he thought it was one of the greatest angles ever and wishes he would have been able to run it. So goes to show who is still in charge at WWE
