Great Series. Binged it in two days.
I just cannot wrap my brain around admitting to stabbing and raping someone. I need to watch the Confession Tapes.

Watched last night, good doc. That fat prosecutor is right up there (maybe just a notch below) Kratz from MAM in my book. Dude is just a scummy POS that doesn't give one rats arse about justice or truth.
In the second girls' case, a few years later after the body was found and A)she was wearing completely different clothes B) she was shot not stabbed C) the fat bearded dude from the gas station said he didn't think it was those 2 dudes that he saw taking her....how the frick is that not enough to seriously look at letting those dudes out? They're still in if I remember right.
Also, how the HELL did they not spend more time on the bombshell of gore and others supplying drugs to the police? That's like a major, grand slam type of issue and they talked about it for like 3 minutes in the 5th episode. I assumed the finale would be all about that but they never came back to it.

Coming from a small town myself, it isn't surprising that the PD was involved with drugs and letting their friendly druggies off. I grew up with guys that were drug heads but connected to the police. They stayed squeaky clean and anyone around them always got into trouble.
This stuff is fascinating. Being falsely imprisoned for life is literally Hell on Earth. After watching these documentaries it has become an irrational fear.

I’m watching the last episode and wow that place is corrupt.
When Peppy Carter was reminiscing and talking about how after all these years she still cleaning Debbie’s face (both as a kid and now as a portrait on a headstone) it made me cry.
30 mins left. Frick Bill Peterson, Frick Glen Gore, and frick whoever killed the Haraway girl.

Damn. I was hoping they’d find who really killed that poor girl. Based on the doc (which I know can’t be slanted) I don’t think Ward/Fontenot did it.
