That was pretty dang good! I think he has a chance to win this year considering the only attractive boy that plays guitar was voted off last week, which is usually who the teenybopper girls vote for.

I notice that to, you would think sam would be top 5 at least with the teeny votes. I think with the facebook vote the older crowd is voting more.

I'm going to watch it all tomorrow night. I didn't see much about CJ tonight. Was he bad? He and Dexter should gave been gone weeks ago.

why is dexter STILL there? and why do the judges love him so much?
also, when they went to break before CJ and said that he will be doing a Tom Petty song, it was the easiest prediction of the season to predict he would do Free Falling.
there were so many better song selections that all of the contestants could've gone with.

I had mixed feelings about Malayia... she shouldn't have been the next to go home but she wasn't going to win American Idol.

I'll continue to ask until he is gone but how in the hell does Dexter continue to advance? He's so awful. The fact that he did a Florida Georgia Line song says it all. He should have been gone after that. He's everything that's wrong with country music. Everything from his look to his sound.

I love Sam's tone. I wish he could show CJ's passion. CJ should have gone home. Or Dexter.
Crazy Malaya can't win, but two should have gone before her.
Caleb is getting way too cocky for me. How old are the old ladies he wants to make cry? What a dumbass statement if you want as many votes as you can get. He said something else, too, that I thought was dumbarse. He's good, but I don't like him as a person much anymore.
I really enjoyed the Sam and Alex duet best.

Yep... if he doesn't win it will probably be due to his arrogance. If Caleb is heads up against Alex, Caleb could lose.
ETA: David Cook was a really good mentor for 80's week.

He also said something about showing his baby face. Another turnoff statement. He might have the best stage presence and he's certainly talented, but he's not my fave. I thought his duet sucked. I think he's too cocky for his own good.
Agree with you on David Cook. I'm glad the results shows are short, but I'd have enjoyed watching him perform again. I really liked that guy when he was a contestant.

tonight the contestants have picked songs for each other. I'm really hoping they picked a John Mayer song for Sam.
