I like Steven. But these judges are letting way too many people through. They NEED a Simon type to just say "you suck" get a real job.
Just because you have a sad story, doesn't mean you an sing.
Granted, most of the people they show sad stories for can at least sing a little. But not many have a shot at winning.

I don't necessarily think they're letting more people through, I think the editing may be different. With Simon, they showed more bad people because we wanted to see him be mean. Since there's no one in that role this year, I think they're trying to change the show a bit. They probably knew that it wasn't going to work like it did in the past without Simon.

I don't know the numbers from the last two episodes. But 57 from the first city and 31 I think from the second. I don't ever remember them letting 57 people through.
Also,I think it was am istake to lower the age to 15. Some of these kids are going get eaten alive in Hollyweird.

I don't mind Tyler but I do wish they would have added a Simon type. For the past 9 seasons, no one really cared what Randy,Paula,Kara,ellen had to say. It was always "what will Simon say?

Personally I like Tyler better than Simon. I was surprised at his humor and I like the energy he brings. I like the show better with this judging panel.

Tyler is making the show. His personalty is totally different than I expected. I actually like both of the new judges (Lopez more as eye candy).
As I said earlier, I would have liked to see the two new ones with Simon. Randy trying to play the bad guy isn't working.

I liked the sort of impromptu duet with the last girl last night. The guy just seems so humble for the lead singer of a rock band that's been around for more than 30 years.
