FWIW, the Grammys aren't nearly as prestigious as they used to be

The music industry overall is in a decline. But the grammys are still "the award show." It is the one most respected in the industry for sure.

eta: My point is people are speaking about stuff they don't know. They always say she sucks, flopped, etc. And she is far from that. I would think she gets that because she's not a Top 40 artist so if you don't listen to R&B you don't hear from her. I'm not going research every top 2, I just know her success.

Oh I know that. I'm just saying getting a grammy these days isn't really very indicative of your talent level.

All i know is, of the final 4 I would pay to see James live.

The rest I wouldn't walk across the street so see if you gave me free tickets.

I don't know if i would pay to see any of them live. But if i found out Haley was performing somewhere near i would definitely have to consider going for obvious reasons of course

I thought about that. But, I can wonder around the Mall in B.R. and see 100 chicks hotter than her.

I think haley has great potential besides her looks. She just needs to get someone to help her use her voice and some better songs. Her song choice cost her early on.

James doesn't bother me, I'd watch him for free.

I'd go see a show with Casey or Haley, or better yet both. They both have the bluesy feel. Casey just wasn't a good fit for American Idol.

I just don't understand how these 3 are the most talented out of 10's of thousands of contestants. Do the really talented people just not bother?

it's weird how they have all these different shows and yet every year they seem to come up with a great amount of talent. Do these people just decide one year this is going to be the year i try out. Like pia she was an amazing talent and she didn't attempt to come on the show til season 10. I just find it weird that they keep coming up with batches of new talent i figured the well would run dry one day

All of them are talented whether you like them or not….All of them will get a shot win or loss. It’s what they do after the show that matters. For every one of you who says that you don’t like one of them theirs two more out there that loves them.

She mentioned it one of the shows this season talking with Randy. She said she's tried out 6 or 7 times.

I think she may have worked hard this past year and got some vocal coaching. Tons of people can sing but don't know how to use their voice.

Yes. 12-14 year old girls.

This same demographic also believes that the Twilight Series is the greatest series of movies every made.

Or don't have an interesting backstory.

Glad to see James go. He really was trying too hard to be cool rocker guy. Good for him that he got to top 4 though. He's gonna get his chance to make it just as much as 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.

Their money spends just as well as anyone else’s….You got to look at it from a commercial view point.

The Voice is only a few weeks old, but right now I'm into it much more than I have ever been for AI. Great judges panel, interesting concept, high caliber of contestant base, and America won't get to vote until the pool is narrowed down to about 10 or so. I think the late air time will help also in terms of the voting not being overrun by 12 year old girls.

Commercially, its great.

That doesn't mean that they vote for people with any degree of talent.

Let's put it this way. If Scotty McCreary was an overweight 26 year old, he would have not made it past the first week.

From which side though? It's more than just a show.

A.I. side: it's great for them esp the votes that people pay the text fee or whatever.

Label side
: It is not good. They have to release at least 2 albums a season. So those teen bopper votes cost you here. Teens don't buy music, they download it for free.

I was just thinking how funny it is that Haley has the best country performance of the season with Patsy Cline/Lee Ann Rimes' "Blue"
