I mean how does a chick just be mediocre for the ENTIRE show and people are still saying "she can finally show who she is". Shes already shown it, its not that special.
You get punished on idol for having actual talent.

She's shown everything she has. She isn't ready.
As much as it sickens me, it's Scotty's to lose.
I would love to see Haley in the final 2. Chick can do stuff with her voice that J-Lo can only dream of.

Haley is the least popular out of the group. She's been in the bottom 3 several times and she's obviously not a favorite of the judges. She has a very unique voice and is much improved throughout the season, and can improve much more.
Lauren is overwhelmed and not ready.
Scotty is boring to me but he seems to get the votes.

Scotty is worst top 3 in Idol history.
Someone said it a few months ago, this show needs Simon to tell the dullards how to think. If Simon were still a judge, Scotty probably doesn't make top 13. These three judges don't criticize anyone (except for Haley which doesn't make a ton of sense). It's the same reason Pia got the early boot. They refused to criticize the crappy contestants (Scotty, Stephan, etc.), and America gives them a pass.
They need to find a ultra-arse for next season.

The way America votes does not reflect the contestants talent level. Jimmy Kimmel nailed this show a few years ago when Chris Daughtry got kicked off too early. It's nothing more than a karaoke contest where talent doesn't really mean shite. Think of the Idol winners other than Kelly Clarkson & Carrie Underwood. NONE OF THEM have done shite. Scotty is their best chance to have someone on the radio regularly again. Country music fans will eat his shite up.

I agree with this, I thought the judges would at least look at talent but when they ragged Haley last week for singing that Gaga song it pissed me off bad. If it didn't fit her or she screwed up fine. They basically said you nailed the song but I don't know it so you fail.

This isn't true. Even Taylor Hicks has had some moderate success. Have they all been superstars, obviously not. For example, I've seen people say in this thread how Fantasia flopped but she has a platinum record, a gold record and a grammy for her 3rd. That's a dream career for many successful artists out there.

FWIW, the Grammys aren't nearly as prestigious as they used to be.

I have nothing against Scotty except he's boring. I don't think him totally rearranging a song to make it country would've worked last year. 1) he wouldn't have a producer to re-arrange it. 2) Simon would've said he murdered the song and lost the original song. This year the super-producers helped advance the 1 hit ponies. He obviously has a career in country but not crossover and that's what Idol should be. He won't have the audience to buy after the show, hell teenagers don't buy music anyway, they steal it.
James can go tour with Bret Michaels and sing his 80's hair metal. He definitely got better as the season went but I still wasn't much of a fan either.
