Is the entire show choreographed? How would the audience have all known to slow clap like that and not some faster like an audience normally would have?

I know he was trying to reference Michael Jackson catching his hair on fire during the Pepsi Commercial but you should NEVER bring up your sponsor's arch rival. Not everybody might know what he meant by having a Pepsi Moment.
