To me, he'll always be Leo O'Bannon from Miller's Crossing.

I forgot about Shoot the Moon. He was excellent! I'd like to see that one again.

My wife and I just watched Big Fish a week or so ago and I looked to see if he was still alive while we were watching it.

Love that movie.

He was great in a ton of stuff. Wasn't he in before the devil knows your dead? Eta: yes he was.

He was in several very good movies over the years and as dark movies go, "Before The Devil Knows You're Dead" is one of the darkest.

He had a smaller part in that movie, but it was a good part he played and I liked how he dealt with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who played his oldest son in that movie.

Daddy Warbucks

I shite you not, up until only a couple years ago, I though Telly Savalas was Daddy Warbucks.

When I heard it was Finney, I was agast.

Btw, I always got Finney snd Tom Wilkinson confused, too. Maybe

Greatest Christmas song

His Ebeneezer Scrooge is one of the most underrated acting performances in 20th century cinema.

I seriously didn't realize he played both the young and old versions of Scrooge when I saw it in the theater as a kid. I was convinced it was two actors some 30-40 years apart in age.

RIP.
