I know it was released on television last year, but S9 1984 was recently put on Netflix.
How does it stack up to the rest in y'alls opinion?

Better than most of the previous seasons. Far below season 1 and 2

I enjoyed it more than a lot of seasons. Probably 3rd best for me.

Agree, despite the friday the 13th vibes from the first half of the season, there wasn't much pure suspense.
I really enjoyed the story and thought it was written decently.

I have no idea how this show is so successful. It's terrible.
I watched S1 based on recommendations, and it was okay. Watched the Coven season and that was one of the worst things I've ever seen on television. I watched the Carnie season and parts of that were okay, and then it got laughably bad. Same with the hotel one...parts were okay but then it got terribly bad again. I have tuned in here and there to see if anything would pique my interest, and every time it's just laughably acted and terrible.
Am I on an island with that?

I enjoyed Coven
Not for everyone. So many people hated for a didn't watch for a while but I got into as it went on
S8 made me go back and watch coven no regrets

I liked season 1 and 2, would watch every season thereafter for an episode or two until it went completely off the rails and would give up on it. 84 was the first season I’ve watched all the way through since 2 and I thought it was awesome. Easy watch with some real good humor, 80s cheese, and just straight up entertaining.

I enjoyed it but I grew up in the 80's. Probably the third or fourth best season they put out.

That's how every season plays out. They start ok or even pretty good, then devolve into a pathetic mess by the end of the season.

I thought Asylum was great until Murphy repeated his habit of writing the last few episodes of everything he ever writes high on computer duster
