I watched. I have no idea what is going on. Whatsoever. Is this an alternate reality, a dream, implanted memories, LMDs or what? I am confussed.

In the LMD arc, Radcliffe and Aida create a virtual world called the Framework in which members are basically trapped in a dream state. The way that the victims remain compliant is that they are shown a world in which their greatest regret or sadness is removed.
With the exception of Daisy and Jemma, all of the team were trapped and replaced with LMDs. The two of them have hacked into the Framework in order to get them out.
In this world, May never killed the girl in Bahrain. However, by not doing so, the girl killed thousands in Cambridge, England, enabling HYDRA to take over for SHIELD.
In this world, Fitz never met Simmons, for reasons that have not been revealed yet.
In this world, Coulson never joined SHIELD.

So.. this world is only in their minds. Well, the minds of May, Coulsen and Fitz, right? And Jemma and Daisy are now in "this world" because they hacked in and let themselves be replaced by LMDs?
Makes more sense now, I think.

The Framework is basically the Matrix. Jemma and Daisy haven't been replaced by LMDs, but everyone else has. Everyone but Jemma & Daisy was captured be Aida (the female LMD), plugged into the Framework, and replaced by LMD. Jemma and Daisy hacked into it remotely to try and get everyone out, but they were never replaced.
I'm liking it so far. I like the change up, and to see what would happen if Hydra would've defeated SHIELD. And I like the twist with Ward being a double agent, just like he was in real life, but for the good side instead of for Hydra. I wonder if Skye will eventually hookup with Ward before she unplugs. I always liked their dynamic more than her dynamic with the Inhuman guy.

I watched last night for the first time since like episode 5 this season. I really liked it.
I wish they could find a way to bring Ward back for good.

I DVR'd waiting for some time to sit back and watch.....
Is Daisy (Chloe Bennett) still getting shorter and shorter hair? In a another season or 2 she will be bald at the rate she's shedding. 3-4 seasons till she looks like red skull reincarnated.

Actually she has her long hair inside the Framework.

DVRd it and watched today. Thumbs up, I liked it as a good start for this next set of episodes.

This is the best season by far. I liked how they turned May's defining moment on its head, so instead of killing the kid haunting her, not killing the kid haunts and drives her.
And Ward is coming back in LMD form as a good guy again, I think.

I hope this season, final season or not, both ties into the Inhumans series and results in Daisy Johnson becoming Director of SHIELD.

Agreed, and I hope it returns. It's rare for a show to steadily improve as it goes.
Also I think other shows should take notes and consider breaking up long seasons into 2-3 arcs. It works much better with less filler.

Totally agree. I thought this season started a little slow for me, could be because I loved last season. But breaking it up like they have is a great idea, keeps things fresh. I am really curious to see what goes down in the framework and especially who they cross paths with. Bobbi and Hunter anyone?
Also, agree with a statement above. The show is just better with Ward. He fits like a glove with the rest of the cast. I'd like to see the season end with an LMD (but completely good) Ward in the real world

I just watched the episode from DVR.....Spoilers...
Framework is a new learning curve: Ward is Ward but he's SHIELD Ward again (resistance); Daisy is Skye and Jemma is Jemma; May is May but she's Hydra May and anti SHIELD, Fitz has balls but they're HYDRA balls and Coulson has no balls and he's just a mess.
The women seem more feminine (except May who has the biggest balls of all). So maybe Hydra running the world isn't all bad.
