IDK but it's awesome, I'm having a hard time not listening to it, i keep going back to it
There's a song on it called Before I cry that I don't remember being in the film. It's a frickin' bop.

I think it’s the one she partly sings after the fight in the bathtub

Powerful movie. Sticks with you for a while after.

I enjoyed the film. I think the movie was handicapped from the beginning by the source material. They were locked into the ending from the very beginning and it felt forced to me.
Great performances by all.

frick! Don't ever get suckered into watching this movie by your girlfriend. Terrible
Glad I'm not the only one. I hated this movie.

If you walk in all pissed off because you think you'll be called a queer, of course you hate it. Cooper, Elliott, Chapelle, Dice Clay and many here laugh at that insecurity.

Well I was with my girlfriend so really wasn't worried about people thinking I'm a queer. Also, I don't really GAF if someone thinks I am queer. That has nothing to do with why I didn't like the movie.
I haven't seen the other versions of this movie and I went in having no idea what to expect. The movie was way too long, boring, and predictable. Those were the main reasons I disliked the movie. Could also have something to do with going right after that awful Mizzou game Saturday. My insecurity about my sexuality or how others perceive it had nothing to do with why I disliked this movie.

This guy is constantly peeing in people's applesauce on here. If it receives acclaim, he hates it. Just one of those general malcontents.

I had chills during almost the entirety this scene... It was mindblowingly great.
It almost felt like one of those Susan Boyle-type Idol/AGT auditions where some unexpected girl comes in and just absolutely blows the roof off the building.... Except it was leaps better.
I felt like I was at the concert. It was beautifully shot and one of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen.
If anyone wants to know what that "magic" people speak of in a movie theater... That's was it.

Saw this movie today and after reading this thread was expecting much more. The acting was great, but I didn't feel the chemistry between Cooper and GaGa. I found this movie incredibly boring and long and was almost happy at the ending since it was over.
Music was awesome, cinematography was fantastic and acting was pretty incredible. Just didn't feel an emotional connection to any of the characters.
*****Spoilers****
Really really hated how GaGa turned into a basic popstar too.

Lol literally every review, even from some of the biggest blowhards, single out the amazing chemistry between Cooper and Gaga.

And that's great. I personally didn't see it. Found it incredibly boring.

I havent seen it yet, but its funny, the 3 people i know who have seen it have all said its good and they enjoyed it, but all said it wasnt "the best movie of the year" or "the best movie to come around in years" like many are saying.

Dude I hardly ever post on this board, so I'm not real sure what you're talking about. Everyone likes different types of movies and I didn't like this one. Lots of people did and that's fine. Just not my kind of movie.

I'm with you. Thought the acting was fantastic. Truly believed Cooper was a hardcore drunk. GaGa was great too. Just really didn't believe them as some great epic love. I really didn't even see why she would want to get involved with an obvious drunk.
Loved the music and will listen to the soundtrack, but I felt no emotions at the end of this movie other than thank God it's over.
I get why some people liked it. I'm not shitting on it. Just really not for me. My wife didn't care for it either for what it's worth.

I think you're the second person to say this. That is exactly what would happen in todays world, and the music wasn't supposed to be good for that reason. You weren't supposed to like it, just like cooper's character didn't like it

I thought they'd turn her into an Adele type singer or at least make her lyrics more poppy.

Id assume most people would like that as well. Adele type music puts all that popstar crap to shame. But there's really only 1 Adele right now and I don't think anyone tried to turn her into a pop star because she doesn't resemble one in any way, shape or form. Music execs follow the money, and that's exactly what the guy in the movie was doing

Anyone else feel like Chappelles lines sounded eerily close to his actual life?
