New blog post from GRRM, read it here.

ADWD will be half Jon, Dany, and Tyrion which is pretty damn awesome.

conjecture on the POV's for ADWD putting 2 & 2 together:

Varamyr Sixskins(in the released prologue), Tyrion, Jon, Daenerys, Davos, Bran, Reek

Asha, Victarion(possibly), Cersei, Melisandre(which will be awesome), Arya, Barristan(the wealth of information this man possesses gives me chills), Jaime, Quentyn Martell, Areo Hotah(possibly)

The above second half are new characters and old where the part of dance GRRM said finally merges all the story lines to the present.

I'm looking forward to having Dani, Tyrion, and Ser Barristan in the same room.

SPOILER

The consensus among the ASOIAF scholars on Westeros is that Tyrion can't be a Targ but I'm convinced they're wrong. Silver/white hair, dreams of dragons, the abrupt way Tywin left Aerys' service, and his hatred for Tyrion and determination that Tyrion not inherit Casterly Rock all point me in this direction.

Possible ways its revealed:

Ser Barristan knows

Dani tries to execute Tyrion by dragonfire but it doesn't harm him, (I'm not perfectly clear on how Dani survived the funeral pyre, did the dragons protect her or was she somehow genetically immune to fire?)

Dani tries to execute Tyrion by feeding him to the dragons but they recognize him as her brother

I really think one of these is going to happen in ADWD.

Jaime's aunt Genna in AFFC adamantly let him know that Tyrion was Tywin's true son, as in most like Tywin.

She was saying what she believed to be true, that doesn't make it true. I've been laughed off the boards on the ASOIAF sites but I still think I'm right. If it doesn't happen in Dance though I'll probably back off this theory.

Yeah I was just about to post that.

73 chapters. 35 of them Dany, Tyrion and Jon. Nice.

Ser Barristan's thoughts could shine a very bright light on a lot of events. A Melisandre chapter would be very interesting as well.

I am going to have to go with the consensus
I think Tywin just doesn't want Tyrion to inherit Casterly Rock just because he is a dwarf.
I fall in the RT/AS camp for Jon.

As for a Melisandre pov, I would be against it. I like not really understanding Melisandre.

Yeah, I know its a stretch based on the available evidence. The other one you mentioned is pretty much written in stone, I would say.

Tywin's hatred for Tyrion isn't exactly abnormal---almost everyone hates him, save Jaime. And Tywin's just a dick

Yes I do. For some reason in my head I stuck an A on the beginning of L's name.

just finished his blog piece, he even makes reading ab editing interesting.

Reading ADWD will be surreal after all these years of waiting and re-reads.

It is ridiculous. It has been 11 years since any new chapters with some of those characters. And to think I was annoyed while waiting on Feast for Crows.

The crazy part is we will have waited more than a decade maybe to get the confirmation that Brienne is alive.

Also, I am pegging Mel to die, she mentions enemies who smile at you towards Jon, she herself could be included in that group.

Brienne was in Feast, which was out in 2005.

Yea but it doesnt look like she's in this book. So figure a few more years before we see her again in the next book = 10 years give or take a few

Martin msde a comment somewhere that Brienne's cligghanger would be resolved in Dance. That doesn't mean she'll be a POV, (or even alive).

In Ep. 6 of the show, Syrio made a remark about the one true God being death. I've always disregarded the Syrio=Jaquen talk but could that be a Martin approved hint? Of course, the Many-Faced God is worshipped by many in Braavos.

They didn't mention the Faceless Men at all when Robert was discussing having Dany killed. They have to be introduced before Jaquen shows up next season.
